PORT ELIZABETH - 3 DEAD AFTER FATAL COLLISION BETWEEN UITENHAGE AND PE

At least three people have been killed in an accident on the R-75 between Port Elizabeth and Uitenhage near the Kwadwesi turn-off.

Provincial traffic spokesperson, Charles Bramwell says it is alleged that a VW Polo overtook a Mercedes Benz, and the two vehicles collided in the early hours of Sunday morning.

He said two people in the Polo died at the scene, and a third later died in hospital, while a fourth person was in a critical condition.

Bramwell said two people in the Mercedes were also seriously injured.
